Floundering Around

I've been noticing a trend with me over the last 4-6 weeks, maybe you have too? I've started 3 or 4 new projects and not finished any of them. In thinking on this I came to the conclusion that I am hurrying to get creative time in before life changes drastically next Monday evening. That's when I go back to work for the first time in 4 years. It's a night job for Bank of America. My days will be as usual, just me and the boys. When hubby gets home from work, he'll take over and off I go. Mondays I work from 4-whenever (11 or 12pm) and the rest of the week is 5-whenever (usually 1 or 2am). Not sure how this is going to work as far as getting sleep, since I then will have to get up at 6 when hubby gets ready for work. I'm going to put my best foot forward and see how this schedule works out for us.

I think I've panicked a bit in that I won't have the wonderful time after the boys go to bed in order to create. So, I seem to be trying to shove it all in now, lol. Anyway, things always have a way of working themselves out and I am definitely looking forward to bringing home a paycheck again! Look out Reddi-Arts and Olde Green Cupboard, here I come!

Yeah, life has a way of working things out. You'll find a chance to create within time I'm sure. I come up with my best ideas when they aren't forced. Maybe take a small notebook with you to work and when an idea hits you can jot it down when you have a free second or two.

Oh, wow! That is quite a change! That is quite the schedule. Hmm...I hope you will be able to work it out with your hubby, so you can sleep in the morning! Good luck on your new job!

oh boy, cristi....i wish i could show you all of my unfinished projects!! sometimes i think it's more about the actual creating, rather than finishing something. i have so many things i want to do that i'm willing to do a little here and a little there! good luck with your new job, sweet girl! :)

Best of luck juggling it all. I do think you are right that things will work themselves out given a little time. I'll be thinking about you.

at least you haven't lost your sense of humor. it sounds a bit grueling but i know it will all work out. you'll just have to learn to juggle a bit more. i find that i am way more productive and creative when i have a lot on my plate. my mind is always working on that next big art idea that i want to put down on paper. as for unfinished projects, i have what i call the art room graveyard that has canvasses in-process and never finished. i figure it is an artist's perogative to finish what we want and leave to the side all the others.
